There was several people already at our
station, but we were not the last ones by no means. This might have
been the most crowded muster I have participated in. We were all snug
against each other. I felt like I should have asked the guy in front
of me to take a picture together because we were pretty personal with
each other for a while. And of course there was that ONE COUPLE. They
were last. They took pictures of each other. They laughed. They
joked. They did not hear one word of what was said. I am only hoping
that they did not speak English and it wouldn’t have mattered if
they had listened to every word being spoke.
During muster the captain announced
that our sailing would be delayed. They were performing some diving
operation on the front of the ship that was very important and
wouldnt be done until 5:30. So the plan was to sail at 6. So of course as soon as we were dismissed I had to look over the side to see what was going on. T
There wasn't much to see.
Since we weren't sailing anytime soon we headed inside to check out the ship. We ended up at Sorrento's pizza. This ended up being some of the best pizza I have had on a cruise ship.
Finally a litte after six we finally sailed.
Woohoo! We were officially on vacation.
A pic of Cocoa Beach as we sailed away from Florida.
It was then time for dinner. So we headed down to the Main Dining Room for our first dinner at Sea. I got to try escargot for the first time. There has been a shortage of them and not available on my last two Royal Caribbean cruises. But tonight they were finally available again.
For my entree I got the steak salad. It was sooo yummy. I hate steak that is overcooked and this one was cooked just right.
For desert Tony and I both got the carrot cake. It was good carrot cake and I enjoyed the piece of peanut brittle on top. It gave it a twist.
After dinner we headed back to our cabin to change into something more comfortable. These signs were all along the hallways. Thank goodness there was one close to our room because not only did I keep forgetting which was forward (front) from aft (back), but I also kept getting starboard (right) mixed up with the port (left) side. Too many times I found myself wondering down the port side looking for my room when it was on the starboard side.
At this point I hate to admit that we crashed and never made it back out of the room. I guess the hours of work before we left along with the long trip to Florida finally caught up us.
Join me next time as I spend a day sunning it up in the Bahamas. Well kinda.
